Finished shooting a pilot for the film financed by The UK Film Council’s Premiere Fund and Screen West Midlands. It was great fun although we had chosen to film night scenes in the middle of a British summer! Now getting ready for the edit.

Delivered the 4th draft to the UK Film Council. Took a while to address all the Notes.

Screen West Midlands is still on board with substantial production finance, as is Future Film Group.

ADF funding for new slate

3 August 2008

Screen West Midlands has confirmed funding for a new slate of fiction projects.
COLD BLOOD will be written by award winning writer/director, Simon Bovey.
JACK & Zena, a TV drama will be written by Martin Smith, writer of The Bounty Hunter.
The deal also includes some more funding to get started on budgeting/scheduling of Bounty Hunter along with some preliminary casting.

BREAKTHROUGH BRITS

LA was great fun! Met a lot of industry Execs, did some networking, made some good meetings. Got to know how Hollywood works. All useful for later on.

Martin is working on the 4th draft after we received a whole bunch of notes from the UK Film Council.

POONA COMPANY (Fiction)

We participated in the Goa Film Market in November 2007 and pitched Poona Company to a host of European financiers. The project was very well received with invitations to forward the screenplay when ready.

Poona Company has been accepted by the National Film Development Corporation of India to take part in this years Co-Production Market in Goa during the 2007 International Film Festival of India. Our project has been chosen out of many international applications.

Martin Smith has delivered the 2nd draft and it is phenomenal! A little bit too long at present but we will be knocking it into shape during November.

Screen West Midlands has already earmarked £500,000 towards the production budget.

We took Bounty Hunter to the Production Finance Market in London during the London International Film Festival. The response was very positive with all financiers we met asking to read the script.
